taskrabbit x the allen arms
I was commissioned by insiders studio to illustrate a visual identity for their client, taskrabbit, who were taking over the horse & groom in shoreditch and rebranding it as the allen arms. this required me developing a wordmark, using custom typography as well as an illustrated coat of arms for multiple touchpoints of the event.

the idea
two crossed allen keys protected by three knights wielding the typical weapons of a taskrabbit tasker- a hammer, paint roller and a drill.
the latin translates to ‘Let others build, let us drink’

I was also tasked to develop the wordmark. after scouring lists and lists of blackletter typefaces, I couldn’t find one that matched the art direction we were taking.
i had previously developed my own typeface for this very portfolio website, and this is where we adapted and customised it for the coat of arms.
